Malembe Rise is a non-profit organization that aims to empower young people in the Democratic Republic of Congo to become leaders in their communities through education. Malembe Rise's vision is for teachers and students to be catalysts for positive change, and the organization follows guiding principles such as investing in individuals, walking the talk, and taking things slowly with purpose. I have had the privilege of working with Malembe Rise remotely for a number of years, so it was a truly exhilarating experience to finally have the opportunity to accompany the team on a trip to their projects in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. To be able to witness and capture through photography the outstanding work being carried out by this remarkable organization was an incredible honor. It was truly heartwarming to see the positive and lasting impact that Malembe Rise is having in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
